Our Counseling Approach

While the terms "counselor" and "therapist" are often used interchangeably, they can carry different connotations. Both counselors and therapists are dedicated to assisting individuals in addressing mental health concerns and achieving personal goals.

However, we prefer the term counselor because it reflects our approach to guiding and supporting clients actively. We prioritize creating a collaborative relationship where clients feel empowered and understood.

Our counseling style emphasizes engagement, validation, education, and rapport-building.

However, we prefer the term counselor because it reflects our approach to guiding and supporting clients actively. We prioritize creating a collaborative relationship where clients feel empowered and understood.

Unlike the traditional image of therapy where the client sits on a couch while the therapist listens, our counseling style emphasizes engagement, validation, education, and rapport-building.

We Embrace Therapeutic

Modalities & Approaches

to support our clients on their journey

towards healing and growth.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): CBT is a widely used therapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It helps clients develop coping skills, challenge irrational beliefs, and achieve symptom relief.

Group Therapy: Group therapy involves working with individuals within a supportive group setting to address interpersonal dynamics, emotional challenges, and behavioral patterns. It aims to provide a safe space for participants to explore their experiences, share insights, and receive feedback from others facing similar issues.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): ACT emphasizes acceptance of difficult thoughts and feelings while committing to actions aligned with personal values. It aims to enhance psychological flexibility, reduce avoidance behaviors, and promote mindful living.

Psychodynamic Therapy: Psychodynamic therapy explores unconscious patterns and conflicts that influence current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It focuses on insight, self-awareness, and understanding the root causes of psychological distress.

Person-Centered Therapy: Person-centered therapy, developed by Carl Rogers, emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness in the therapeutic relationship. It encourages clients to explore their own feelings, experiences, and values to promote self-discovery and personal growth.

Coaching: Coaching involves working with individuals to address personal goals, professional challenges, and areas of growth. It aims to support clients in gaining clarity, setting objectives, and taking action to achieve desired outcomes.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): SFBT is a goal-oriented approach that focuses on identifying solutions and building on clients' strengths rather than dwelling on problems. It helps clients set achievable goals and develop practical strategies for change.
